On Monday (1/7/2008) I kicked off my 2008 Online Teaching schedule. I decided to drop one school (Art Institute of Pittsburg-Online) in order to free up time to develop Online Teaching Search.
At this time, I teach two courses of Written Analysis for ITT Technical Institute and two courses (Master’s Colloquia and Teaching Methodologies) for Miami International University’s MFA in computer Animation and Graphic Design program.
I’ve taught for these two schools since the middle of 2005.
As I’ve mentioned before on this blog, I started Online Teaching Search because I realized I wasn’t the only college teacher looking for yet another class. In the middle of 2007 I made myself start a database of “application portals” for each post-secondary school in the United States.
Each “application portal” is the actual link in a school’s web site that will allow a prospective online teacher to submit a resume or CV.
I know it sounds easy to submit an application to teach online, but given the number of post-secondary schools this can be a very time intensive task.
I know because I backed up twice when I tried to devise an intelligent and productive marketing approach. I realized the importance of continually submitting applications, but it was taking me forever to locate the application portal!
Eventually, I took my master database and make it available to the public for FREE at Online Teaching Search.
The truth of the matter is that online teaching is becoming a genuine way to earn a very nice living. However, it is necessary to have a comprehensive plan of constant application submittal in order to acquire enough courses to earn a full time income.
I urge you to take control of your online teaching career by visiting Online Teaching Search today!
