Online teaching is a wonderful way to earn cash with your computer. As an online teacher, my work at home business provides me with a real online income and the chance to wear any sort of clothing I choose when I am working online. These circumstances are a very good deal for me.
However, online teaching’s ‘dirty little secret” is that most, if not all, online teachers will sooner or later have to acknowledge to themselves that they are working in an academic sweatshop. Ultimately, the admission that there is no security in terms of health care, retirement, and wages that keep pace with inflation in any relationship with schools that offers online courses has to be clearly made in uncompromised language.
Happily, there are alternatives that hold promise for the online teacher.
For example, writing a blog that is monetized with Adsense ads is one possible avenue available for online teachers. The Traveling Online Teacher contains Adsense ads, and the postings by the Traveling Online Teacher have as much to do with cash from your computer as they have to do with online teaching.
My point here is that online teachers must keep in mind that every online school has an “expiration” date, so to speak, and that the most profitable way to confront the inevitability of the school “expiring” is to plan constantly on replacing the school with some other source of online income.
No one like online teaching as a way to produce cash from your computer than the Traveling Online Teacher, but, believe me, I’m not limiting myself to just one source of online revenue.
So don’t be surprised to find posts in this blog about cash from your computer, online profits, and similar topics. The fact of the matter is that making a living online requires a good deal of intellectual agility, and there no better way to improve one’s agility than to write about the need for it.
Think more about how you can earn money with your computer!
