I received my Crocs yesterday! I love them. The weather is wonderful today in New Orleans—just right for wearing my Crocs outside.
This morning I spent half an hour on the telephone with a friend of mine who is retired from college teaching. My friend succeeded in obtaining just two online classes last year, and he has been as pleased as punch with the results. Overall, he spends about 20 hours a week on both courses and puts a tidy sum in his pocket every two weeks for his efforts.
According to my friend, his only regret is that he didn’t start applying sooner to schools that offer online courses.
My friend and I both agree that any retired college professor wanting to put an extra $500.00 per week in his or her pocket should immediately apply to teach online courses.
Give yourself a minute to imagine what you could buy with that extra money, and, as an added bonus, the engagement with students on the Internet via computer technology is a great way to keep one’s brain alive.
I know I go on and on about the joys of online teaching, but it’s hard not to be up when wearing a pair of red Crocs.

What a mental picture! LOL Red crocs!! They're great shoes :)
lol I adore mine.
They saved my sore feet in the brick and mortar classroom last year. This year, it has been crocs or houseshoes. I bet the red put a pep in your step. :)
I enjoy your blog. I teach high school courses online, and so much of what you say applies to the k-12online world as well.
I only regret I have not yet finished my Masters.
In addition to making money online in red Crocs, I just ordered a red velvet fez from an Ebay vendor!
Earning a paycheck online doesn't mean I have to dress like I just fell out of a boxcar. After all, I earn money online.
Living in the Deep South while increasing my income from various online enterprises affords me certain fashion liberties, such as wearing a red fez and red Crocs for next few weeks.
Eventually, of course, as I move from one online payday to another, I will be forced by the increasingly warm weather to ditch the fez, keep the Crocs and live almost exclusively in white linen pajamas and a white hemp and straw Kangol.
That's a very nice way to go as I pull cash from my computer on a daily basis.
I appreciate the kind observations about this blog's efforts to promote earning a paycheck online.
By the way, the above paragraphs were oddly satisifying to write.
